Customer Education
Why do we offer customer education classes?
"To be the best, as determined by our customers" is the cornerstone of our mission statement. And because you are a part of ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc., we want to help you be the best also. We are proud to offer a series of intensive education workshops designed to be more than passive seminars. Workbooks, question and answer sessions, and other structured activities assure participant interaction and involvement. Homework and hands-on training supplement these true learning experiences that promise to be beneficial in the field.
Customer Education Classes - ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc.
Education classes are offered free of charge for most sessions and are held on the Greenville, SC and Ft. Smith, Arkansas campuses. Registration includes: lunch, ABB coordinated dinners, snacks, ABB transportation from preferred hotel to class and return, and class materials. Education Classes held at other (off-site) locations will include: lunch, snacks and class materials. Transportation and hotel are the responsibility of the student. For all classes, lodging and airfare are the responsibility of the student.

Registration is available through the ABB training portal, Motion Upskill. If you do not already have an account, please sign up.

2024 Motor Training Schedule
Fort Smith, AR in-person class enrollment will be available for the following courses:
September 10 - 12, 2024
K315 - Fundamentals of Motors
October 15 - 17, 2024
K507 - Baldor-Reliance Motor Academy
November 19 - 21, 2024

For internal ABB users
Visit Motion Upskill, and search for the class number, either K315 or K507. Click “Choose Session.”
For users external to ABB
Create an account in Motion Upskill at Motion Upskill. Click “Sign Up,” and follow the instructions. Under “My Main Interest Is” choose Motion Products and Services. After the account has been created, search for the class number, either K315 or K507. Click “Choose Session.”
There is no cost for the class. Students are responsible for travel and lodging. ABB will provide all meals and transportation from and to the hotel. Details, such as hotel accommodations and transportation, will be sent to all those enrolled before the class start. Safety footwear is required for plant tours, so please bring steel-toed shoes if you have them. ABB will provide safety vests, eye protection, and ear protection.
